A word about warranties...

Manufacturers' dealerships love to tell you that you should only use them for servicing your new car during the warranty period and that if you don't you may void your warranty and damage your car, but...

In October 2003 European Union legislation affecting the motor trade came into force. Its full title is 'Block Exemption Regulations 1400/2002' (BER). (Those crazy folk in Brussels and their exciting names eh? Don't get bored just yet though, this is worth knowing about, seriously!)

This legislation changes the way cars may be serviced and repaired and gives motorists a lot more freedom in their decision as to who should look after their cars.

This means independent repairers such as us CAN carry out normal maintenance, servicing and non-warranty repairs during a vehicle's warranty period without invalidating the warranty conditions provided that:

1) The service is carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's servicing schedules and is recorded as such.

2) Any parts used are of 'appropriate quality' and are recorded as such.

The great news is that here at Mastertech Assist our technicians are Mercedes factory trained and only use the same "High Quality" parts as used by main dealers. So you can be happy with the knowledge that your warranty will never be affected and because we're passionate about cars before profit you get the same standard of service for a fraction of the main dealer price!
